Founded in Mulund, Mumbai, SU-MATI Group is a Service group driven by a network of volunteers.
Inspired by a circle of hands joined together to support one another, we belive in providing localised, highly impactful assistance that leaves no one behind.
From assisting during life's final transitions to supporting the young and the elderly, we stand as a strong pillar for families in need.
Over the years, our initiatives have grown to include healthcare, education, and awareness programs—ensuring that compassion and community care reach every corner. With each effort, we strive to build a society where dignity, empathy, and solidarity form the foundation of everyday life.
To uplift community welfare through hands-on volunteer action, facilitating blood and organ donations, standing by grieving families, protecting senior citizens, and guiding the future of our youth.
To nurture a resilient, empathetic community where support is immediate, resources are shared selflessly, and every citizen is connected in a continuous circle of care.
Established on 12th February 2009, SU-MATI began by offering free, dignified cremation and funeral services, earning the affectionate local name “Smashan wala”.
To meet critical medical needs, SU-MATI has organized nearly 50 drives, collecting about 200 units each—benefiting close to 10,000 families. We also support children with Thalassemia and conduct cancer and health screening camps.
Through counseling, we’ve facilitated over 1,500 skin and nearly 3,000 eye donations. Recently, we expanded into bone and tendon donations, achieving 8 successful cases in the first month.
We host annual career guidance seminars for students and arrange weekly social meetups, cultural outings, and tours for senior citizens to foster connection and active aging.
Awareness & Training: Promoting blood, tissue, and organ donation via social media and seminars, guiding NGOs on best practices.
Healthcare Support: Partnering with Kenia Hospital to arrange free cataract surgeries for disadvantaged patients.
Educational Aid: Supporting H.M. Gala School in Mulund West by funding fees for underprivileged students.
We work without expectations, prioritizing the support and dignity of grieving families and vulnerable individuals above all else.
We are champions of blood and organ donation, standing as local pioneers in skin, eye, bone, and tendon donations to restore lives.
We honor our senior citizens, designing active social connections, group outings, and gatherings that make them feel valued and happy.
We believe in knowledge-sharing, organizing educational sessions and seminars to support students in navigating their career paths.
Our primary service since inception. We assist families through the logistics, transport, and rites of cremations. Affectionately termed "Smashan wala", we provide calm, supportive, and dignified handling during difficult times.
At every last rites service, we counsel grieving families on the impact of donation. Our work has helped enable over 1,500 skin donations, 3,000 eye donations, and we are actively expanding support for body donation as well. We also conduct awareness sessions for bereaved families, other NGOs, and through social media outreach.
We host massive camps, averaging 200 bottles of blood per drive. Our focus is supporting specialized agencies that supply blood to children suffering from Thalassemia, alongside conducting medical and cancer checkups.
Tackling social isolation by bringing seniors together weekly. We organize fun-filled indoor games, custom snacks, movie outings, theatre drama shows, and multi-day retreats for relaxation and peer connection.
Annual academic seminars where eminent professionals from diverse fields share their journeys. We help local students choose careers, understand academic pathways, and take confident next steps. We also support H.M. Gala School in Mulund West by paying the fees of needy students.
We also extend our support through compassionate community outreach: arranging free cataract operations in partnership with Kenia Hospital after income verification, securing discounted diagnostic tests through trusted labs for needy patients, and providing free food packets for municipal staff during COVID.
